Helen Morrissey talks to Mike Morrison about his role as chairman of the Association of Member Directed Pension Schemes (AMPS) and how he sees the SIPP and SSAS markets developing

How long have you been involved with AMPS? I've always been Winterthur's representative on both the SIPP Provider Group which represented the SIPP market and the Association of Pensioneer Trustees which aimed to represent the SSAS market. These organisations merged to form AMPS in the wake of A-Day. As I'd been involved for such a long time it was a logical step to get involved in the committee which I did a couple of years ago and I was made chairman in October 2007.
