New Thames River fund of hedge funds to focus on start-up managers

Thames River Capital is launching a Guernsey-based fund of hedge funds on 21 January to be run by ex-Coronation CIO/CEO Ken Kinsey Quick. The Thames River Hedge Plus fund will have a strong focus on start-up managers, not only by eventually investing a third of its assets in new funds, but also by aiming to buy a 10% stake in the businesses of those managers. The managers will be able to buy back this stake three to five years down the line for an agreed multiple on the purchase price.
