LV= appoints new chairman

LV= has appointed Dennis Holt, former AXA UK group chief executive, as chairman.

Current chairman John Woolhouse announced at the friendly society’s AGM that he would step down as chairman and member of the board on July 1 2007. Dennis Holt joined LV= (previously Liverpool Victoria) in September 2006, having retired from the AXA group in June 2006. He was group chief executive of AXA’s UK and Ireland businesses and a member of the global executive committee of AXA SA, one of the largest life, investment, insurance and asset management businesses in the world.
