Baronsmead VCT, launched in 1995, is seeking to raise £14m this autumn. As a result of the injection of further capital, Baronsmead VCT will be able to increase the spread of its portfolio to more than 50 holdings, which the managers hope will reduce running costs and improve liquidity in the company's shares. Once approved, a capital dividend of 4p per share will be declared for existing shareholders.
