AXA Sun Life Investment Management (SLIM) has appointed two investment sales managers and a broker services manager to its retail sales team, writes Jane Wallace.
Alan Burnett joins from Deutsche Asset Management, formerly Morgan Grenfell, where he was a regional sales manager. He will be responsible for the London and south of England.
Russell Catley, formerly marketing director at New Flag Asset Management, a boutique specialising in offshore bond funds, will take responsibility for the west of England region.
Finally, Michelle Jones joins as broker services director. She was formerly in a similar role at Deutsche.
Patrick Cooper, head of retail sales at AXA SLIM, said: "We announced the creation of the retail sales team last year with the appointment of Robert Wilson to the Scottish region, so it is good news that we are now able to bring in high calibre individuals as we build the team. Ultimately we plan to recruit a total of six sales managers and I hope to announce further appointments in the coming months."
The retail sales team was created in October 1999 with the objective of selling the unit trust and Oeic range of funds to discretionary intermediaries and to provide sales support for the Sun Life IFA broker consultants.
