Topically enough, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) is "a pet hate" of Paul Miles and something he says he would review properly if he were head of the FCA for a day.

Every guest on our regular Adviser Champions video series is asked what they would do as boss of the regulator for 24 hours and the Silverback Consulting principal reckons he would target the lifeboat fund's levy scheme.
