In this week's video interview for PA's Investment Influencers series, where we chat to the most respected individuals who select funds, decide ratings or otherwise influence the allocation of investor fund flows, we hear from Shauna Bevan of RiverPeak.
Bevan joined RiverPeak as a director and head of investment advisory in January 2017 from Charles Stanley, where she had been co-manager of the firm's Collectives Portfolio Service and co-head of fund research as well as being a member of its Investment Strategy Committee. Before joining Charles Stanley in 2003, she worked for Merrill Lynch for four years.
At RiverPeak, Bevan is responsible for the selection and ongoing monitoring of funds for the firm's clients as well as bringing her knowledge of markets and economies to its Investment Committee.
Bevan is an associate member of the CISI and has 17 years' experience of analysing and recommending funds. She graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Classis and went on to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Finance from Birkbeck, University of London. She holds the IMC and has recently passed the CISI's new Financial Planning and Advice exam.
The Investment Influencers series, which has most recently featured James Burns of Smith & Williamson, Simon Nicholas of Brown Shipley and Anthony Gillham of Old Mutual Global Investors, offers insights into how key players in the asset management sector see the world of investing and expect to deal with such challenges as greater market volatility, increased regulation and a growing trend towards short-termism.
