Gary Potter, co-head of F&C's multi-manager team, tells Julian Marr how it looks to stay ahead of the pack in a world that is constantly changing.

Change is everywhere and the world of investment is no exception. In the 33 years since he joined the industry, Gary Potter, co-head with Rob Burdett of F&C's multi-manager team, has witnessed a huge amount of such adjustments. "My first real experience of change was the ‘Big Bang' of 1986 but, since then, we have seen the likes of Fimbra, Lautro, Imro, the PIA, the SIB, polarisation, depolarisation, open architecture, restricted architecture and multi-ties.
