Underperforming funds Barely a week seems to go past without a look at underperforming funds, and this time it was the Sunday Herald which sounded the latest alert. Using research from AWD Chase de Vere, it explained how the average investment fund has seriously under-performed its market index over the past 10 years, despite the far higher costs of active funds over trackers.
