As I write, we have eight months to go until the theory of RDR becomes stark reality and firms will be hoping that all their attention to detail and preparation has been enough to get them to where they need to be. At present our profession is in something of an ‘other-worldly’ stage where it is possible to be working in some areas as a fully-functioning RDR-ready firm, while other parts of the industry have not yet achieved full RDR handover.
