The quiet summer period has now officially passed by and a whole host of interesting new issues and debates is now filling the pages of the adviser media world. Among these, two key issues seem to dominate the financial landscape: namely RDR and the government’s review of the current pension regime, with a specific focus on the issue of compulsory annuitisation. Although the RDR has been covered extensively, the AIFA landmark study on Financial Planning through Retirement definitely deserves some further consideration. The document was published in June 2009 before the new government too...
