This year marks the 10th anniversary of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the UK. It is a decade that has provided a tumultuous backdrop for risk assets, starting with the peak of the technology bubble, blighted by the market turbulence of conflict and natural disaster before culminating in retreat from the brink of near-synchronised financial collapse.
