Mobility horizon nearing focus

UK financial advisers could soon be using their mobile phones in a different way, if patterns seen in the US market are repeated here, says Pyxis Mobile.

The Boston-based provider of enterprise-level software for enabling asset management companies to get data to their sales and advice forces on the road is already shifting into areas such as mortgages and insurance, according to Shane Hughes, president and chief executive. “Our product mAdvisor has targeted large asset managers with captive advisers. Asset management was the lead into these organisations, but we are looking to other areas. For example, Manulife’s people are using mobile now for their group life business.” JPMorgan is using the solution in its US mortgages business area....
