The UK economy may have been somewhat insulated from the recessionary woes of many other parts of the world - though the question still remains of whether the UK stockmarket is now heading towards a recovery, or a relapse. The FTSE 100 has gained over 19% (in USD terms) during the year to 3 November 2003, while the FTSE All Share gained around 24% during that time.
