Yorshire Guernsey to raise interest rates by 25 bps

Yorkshire Guernsey is raising the interest rates on its Global Access offshore deposit account by a quarter of a percent. The rate rises, in line with the recent UK base rate increase sees a new top level of interest of 3.6% (from 3.35%). The interest rate for a deposit of £5,000 is 3.30%, and the interest rate for a deposit of £100,000 is 3.60% per annum. In November the Bank of England raised interest rates by 0.25% to 3.75%, on the back of a recovery in the global economic situation.
