Capital protected hedge funds are the way forward for investors looking for higher returns than equities and bonds, Richard Tomlinson, head of multi-strategy products at Old Mutual Asset Management claims. He said: "Structured products which have been linked to equities and fixed income in the past have produced disappointing results compared to hedge funds. Stock market returns have had varied returns over the years and equities can move up and down irrationally. Investors prefer a stable investment return and would like to invest in products which do not produce any nasty surprises. ...
