At a time when there is increasing competition between offshore jurisdictions, centres are making renewed efforts to focus on their key strengths in order to help differentiate themselves from competitors and to attract more quality business. In Jersey, new legal and regulatory measures have been implemented that are designed both to build on the sectors of the industry where the island has been traditionally strong and to help the jurisdiction widen its appeal in other areas.
