Private investors are set for a fundamental change in the way they invest, with a much greater exposure to alternatives, says Nicola Horlick, chief executive of Bramdean Asset Management. Horlick says this is partly attributable to the FSA's greater acceptance of the use of hedge funds of funds for private individuals and the private client brokers' association APCIMS changing its model portfolios to allow up to 20% in alternatives.
