Prior to the appointment of Jeff Currington, this fund had fared well under the temporary management of Andrew Koch but we are now very excited by the prospects for the product in 2004. Currington joined HSBC in May 2003 as head of European equities from Pictet which he joined in 2001. Prior to this, he was at Norwich Union, which he joined in 1987, first working on the UK and then on European equities, becoming head of European equities in 1996.
