For funds wanting to invest across Europe, the newest entrants to the EU will not be a large part of the pot but they do present managers with some interesting buying opportunities

Before they joined the EU, a plain vanilla European fund could not invest in any of the accession countries. There were some strong performers representing good opportunities, but no one could tap into them. For funds trying to invest across Europe as a whole, these countries will not be a large part of the pot but they do present us with some buying opportunities.
