There are three main types of hepatitis - hepatitis A, B and C. Hepatitis is basically inflammation of the liver. There are many causes of hepatitis, including viruses, alcohol, certain drugs and toxins. The symptoms of hepatitis vary depending on the cause of the illness but can include fever, loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting and jaundice. There is no specific treatment for hepatitis although abstinence from alcohol would be recommended.
