The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has launched a Faculty of Underwriting to support workers in underwriting, pricing and risk modelling. It hopes the faculty will also help those in risk management, reinsurance, marketing and sales, and compliance and audit. Nearly 2,500 CII members have signed up. Lee Gladwell, group sales and marketing director of CII, said: "Underwriters in particular need to make sure their awareness and knowledge of market issues is second to none."
