ETF Securities brings precious metal platform in line with Shariah principles

ETF Securities now boasts the first Shariah-compliant precious metal ETC platform.

The ETC provider brought its physically-backed precious metals platform in line with Islamic principles following an increase demand for ETCs, particularly from the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. The Shariah-compliant ETCs are currently traded on five exchanges in Europe with trading volumes of $2bn in July and comprise: ETFS Physical Platinum, Physical Palladium, Physical Silver, Physical Gold and Physical PM Basket.
