A 2018 Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) report brought together a huge amount of research on the trends and risks which women face. It identified six main areas which posed the greatest risk - one of these was relationships and divorce. More recently, the Financial Vulnerability Taskforce published a good practice guide on advising and supporting clients through divorce, which came out last year. The guide gives a useful insight into the importance of financial advice during divorce, in particular highlighting the importance of financial advisers being involved as soon as possible. ...
