Evolution. That short moment when a very unattractive monkey stops trailing his knuckles to give us what we have today.

The process of evolution hasn’t been perfect, however, with peculiar items like politicians and poor penalty-takers making their way through the system. I wonder if the next big step in advancement is likely to be missed by many advisers. For some, ‘wrap’ is a product, for others it seems to be a tweak on what they are doing now. I have listened in awe at some presentations where insurance companies desperately defend their position, keen to hold on to their market share with fragile solutions designed for the past.
