Newcomer challenges high costs of overseas PMI

Passport2Health, a recent newcomer to the private healthcare insurance market, says it will challenge the high cost of traditional PMI with its latest package of treatment which combines private UK diagnostics with private medical treatment abroad.

The company is promising  typical savings of up to 50% with what it calls the UK's first fully packaged cover for treatment abroad. Offering a specific service for the advisory market, the scheme will provide "rapid access to some of the finest private medical facilities internationally, including door-to-door, concierge-managed travel and accommodation for the patient and a companion."   Passport2Health CEO and founder Frank Levene, a former BUPA director, says his plans allow policyholders to take advantage of the same "high quality healthcare enjoyed by Britain's European neighbours." ...
