MetLife unveils protected bond

MetLife has expanded its UK proposition after launching a new investment bond with a capital protection feature.

The product is a flexible single premium unit linked insurance bond which invests in a range of ‘best of breed’ and managed portfolio funds chosen by Morningstar Associates. It includes an option where investors’ money can be put into a range of Secure Capital Portfolios, therefore providing them with the ability to preserve their capital. The portfolios, made up of defensive, conservative, cautious and balanced managed offerings, provide various levels of exposure to equities ranging from 35pc to 85pc, while capital protection is provided through a secure capital value review held af...
