Ajay Gambhir leaves JPMorgan for MPC

STAR UK and European fund manager Ajay Gambhir has left JPMorgan Asset Management (JPMAM) to launch a new European hedge fund at independent asset manager MPC Investors (MPC).

Gambhir's JPM funds will be taken over by members of the team. Gambhir was lead manager on the £575m JPM UK Dynamic and £168m JPM Europe Dynamic ex UK funds. He also worked on the £319m JPM Europe fund, a range of SICAVs and was head of European high alpha for the group. He will be replaced on UK Dynamic by Jonathan Ingram, John Baker and Mark Davids who are part of the existing team managing the fund.
