LSE reports surge of ETFs

THE London Stock Exchange (LSE) has announced that the number of ETFs available on its market has reached 100, with the launch of 8 new ETFs by Invesco PowerShares.

Investors can now choose from more than twice the number of ETFs that were available at the start of the year. The latest additions are the first ETFs to be issued by Invesco in Europe and include funds covering fundamentals-based US and European equity indices, as well as clean energy, listed private equity and water ETFs. Bruce Bond, president of Invesco PowerShares, said: "We are thrilled to be offering our first ETFs outside of the US.
