In London, the FTSE 100 Index closed the day down 14.8 points to 4996.1 points, led by British American Tobacco.
The tobacco firm slipped 37p or 3.8% to 931p on the UKk's National No Smoking Day, while the Royal Bank of Scotland Group also shed 54p to £17.29. Reuters Group lost 11.75p to 416.50p at the markets close today. At the other end of the scale, broadcaster ITV picked up 5.25p or 4.3% to 124.75p, After posting annual profits well ahead of expectations. Net income at ITV increased to £165m from £84m a year earlier. Investment fund manager Man Group also added 55p to £14.70, while Aviva picked up 18.5p to 681p, after the insurer agreed to buy roadside assistance company RAC for £1.1bn in...
