Aberdeen Asset Management's UK funds continued to suffer total net redemptions in Q2 this year, with the firm's UK fixed income and equity vehicles plunging to a combined £415m outflow.
While the figure is slightly lower than the £423m outflow for Aberdeen’s UK fixed income and equity products in the first quarter, it's a stark contrast to the £430m net inflow seen in Q4 2007. Aberdeen’s UK fixed income strategies took the hardest hit, with a £355m net outflow in Q2, far lower than the £267m outflow in Q1 and the £548m inflow recorded in the final quarter last year. The firm’s UK equity products still posted outflows, but the decline has eased from earlier quarters. The £60m net UK equities outflow in Q2 was much lower than the £156m net redemption seen in Q1.
