In the UK the FTSE 100 Index has ended the week a shade above the 4,900 mark, capping a poor week for the benchmark even though it advanced 19.60 points to 4,914 points today.
Pest control firm, Rentokil Initial added 5.25p to 167.25p, after a boost to its trading status from analysts. Tobacco firm Gallaher Group also picked up 20.50p to 775.50p, along with BAE Systems up, 6.50p to 266p. Reed Elsivier, meanwhile declined 9p to 539.50p, while broadcaster Sky, retreated 8p to 572.50p. In the US the Dow Jones Industrial Average has lost about 19p to 10484.77p in its morning session, led by Eastman Kodak. The digital brand has shed $0.48 to $32.07, along with Wal-Mart, down $0.72 to $49.39. General Motors meanwhile, props up the other end of the table advan...
