Consumers have "completely disengaged" from pensions as a retirement vehicle, according to The Pensions Report 2007.
The annual research shows the public harbours a deep distrust of government, traditional pensions providers and advisers. The report also shows consumers regard annuities as “legalised robbery” and 40% of people plan to use property to help fund their post-work lives.
