In the UK, the FTSE 100 Index has started well, breaching the 4700 mark led by Lloyds TSB.
The benchmark index has added 12 points to 4706 points this morning, while Lloyds TSB has picked up 10.5p to 438.5p after announcing a positive trading update. A host of insurance companies including Legal & General, Friends Provident and Prudential are also trading well adding 2.25p to 108.75p, 2.75p to 156.50p and 6.50p to 441p respectively. On the other end of the board, BAE Systems has shed 2.50p 239.25p. Cairn Energy is also down 14p to 1427p. In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 Stock Average increased 0.3% to 10,789.25 at its close early Saturday morning, led by Sony Corp. The maker of...
