CII launches online exams service

The Chartered Insurance Institute is replacing its paper-based multiple-choice exams with an online exams service, available from the beginning of next year.

The online exam service will cover the certificate in financial planning where the modules consist of multiple-choice questions and it will cost the same as the current paper-based exams. Questions will be presented on screen one at a time and, once answered, the candidate will click to the next screen until all 100 questions have been completed. As it is online, the service will enable candidates to flag questions they are unsure of and will allow them to go back and re-check their answers as they might do were they to sit a paper-based exam.
