The FTSE 100 index has slipped a fraction in the UK equitiees market and so far lost ten points to 4963.4 points in morning trading.
Cable & Wireless has fallen 1.5p to 130.25p, along with Reed Elsevier, down 5.5p to 530p after the telecoms firm reported it found 59 incidents whereby people may have fraudulently attained personal identifying information from its US risk management databases. High street retailer Marks & Spencer, meanwhile, has climbed 11.5p to 352.5p, despite reporting a drop in sales for the sixth straight quarter.
