All people studying to take exams through the Securities Institute are to be given "student" membership status in the charity, which takes on some 35,000 candidates annually.
The SI move will enable more people to obtain free access to CPD events, a free dictionary, and access to information available through the “members section” of its website. The SI is responsible for developing and maintaining professional examinations for those working in the securities industry, for example, buying or selling shares on a professional basis. About 2,000 of the SI’s 16,000 members are currently categorised as “student”. IFAonline
