The FTSE 100 index has lost further ground again and shed around 20 points to 4980.9 points in its morning session.
Betting firm William Hill has managed to gain 16.5p to 598.5p, after revealing it doesn't see opportunities for growth into the UK casino industry. The firm also said it will return £453m to investors by issuing them a new class of stock. Xstrata has lost 25.5p to 1048p, along with Hilton Group, operating Hilton hotels, which is down 7.5p to 308.75p. Money manager Man Group, meanwhile, has added 41p to £13.95, a 3% gain, while tobacco giant Gallaher Group has added 8.5p to 798.5p.
