BNY Mellon launches global 130/30 fund

BNY Mellon Asset Management has launched its first global 130/30 vehicle, the Mellon Global Extended Alpha fund.

Managed by San Francisco-based Mellon Capital Management and part of the Dublin-domiciled Mellon Global Funds range, the fund’s aim is to return 3% above the MSCI World Index using the popular 130% long and 30% short strategy. Between 350 to 400 stocks will be diversified across a wide range of countries, sectors and currencies, using Mellon Capital’s valuation-based quantitative approach.
