progress from Royal Liver has enhanced its Critical Illness Cover (CIC) product by increasing the number of illnesses covered and extending the scope of cover for a number of definitions.

Designed to give IFAs more options when discussing CIC with their clients, the changes to the proposition are built on IFA and consumer feedback, says Progress. The alterations clarify the definition of critical illness, while extra coverage improves the overall value for money proposition of the product, it adds. Approximately 40 illnesses are now covered, including nine new conditions: bacterial meningitis, cardiomyopathy, encephalitis, open heart surgery, primary pulmonary hypertension, progressive supranuclear palsy, pulmonary artery surgery, chronic and severe rheumatoid arthritis ...
