As the UK stock market heads toward a second consecutive year of negative returns, special situations funds have broadly outperformed in the UK All Companies classification. The largest Autif classification of funds is characterised by widely divergent fund performance. The top performer over the three years to the end of August is the high risk, high return Solus Special Situations Fund, up 192.69% over the three years. This constitutes outperformance of 239.55% over the high risk, low return City Financial UK Performance Fund, the worst performing portfolio in the sector, down 46.86% ...
