HSBC Investments appoints CEO

Acting chief executive officer of HSBC Investments, Simeon Brown, has been appointed to the post permanently.
Brown had held the role in the UK since September 2007 after a successful stint in the same post at HSBC Investments in the Asia-Pacific from April to July last year.
Since joining the company in 1996, Brown has also held other key roles including chief operating officer (COO) in Hong Kong from 2003 to 2007 and in the US from 1999 to 2003.
He began his career in 1990 as an accountant working for Littlejohn Frazer and specialising the Lloyd’s of London insurance business.
Brown reports to Caroline Brousse, chief executive officer of HSBC Investments in Europe, who says: “Simeon’s role will be to drive and reinforce the strengths of HSBC Investments in the UK.
“His extensive experience to date within HSBC’s asset management business means he is the ideal candidate to continue to build upon the company’s success.”
