Neptune is waiving the 5% front end charge on its UK Equity fund over July and August.
Since assuming responsibility in July 2006, manager Jeremy Smith has delivered a strong 30.2% return on the fund.
Under his control, the £24.27m Neptune UK Equity fund has retained a top quartile position.
Neptune attributes the fund’s success to Smith’s high-conviction global approach to management.
Smith comments: “I believe this approach to be essential when managing UK equities, given the increasing internationalisation of the UK stock market and the global factors impacting companies listed here,” he says.
“This unique global approach coupled with consistent top quartile performance puts the fund amongst the big name players in the sector and has caught the eye of a growing band of intermediaries.”
Smith joined Neptune from Schroders and has more than 15 years’ fund management experience.
