Planning for a time when your client will exit their business is vital, regardless of whether or not such an exit is on the immediate agenda. A sound and carefully considered exit strategy allows a director and/or shareholder to depart their company on their own terms when the time is right, while ensuring value is preserved and returns maximised as much as possible.
