Friends Provident appoints CFO

Friends Provident has appointed Evelyn Bourke as chief financial officer (CFO), subject to regulatory approval.

Bourke joins from Standard Life UK Financial Services where she was CFO and will start in her new role after completing a notice period of six months, during which time Charles Bellringer will remain interim CFO. Sir Adrian Montague, chairman, said: "I am delighted that Evelyn has chosen to join Friends Provident at this important time in the company's development. Her solid background in financial services will be invaluable to Friends Provident as we build and grow our business profitably."
