Credit Suisse poaches M&G's Perez

CREDIT Suisse has continued rebuilding its equity team after hiring M&G's Cesar Perez to head up its European operation.

Perez, who had managed the M&G European fund since 2002 and recently appeared in the Professional Adviser Hot 100, has taken over from Jeff Currington who has left to pursue other opportunities. Perez, whose fund was recently upgraded to an AA rating by S&P, has also assumed control of Currington’s £92.5m Credit Suisse European fund, and will report to Kim Goodwin, Credit Suisse’s global head of equities, in his new role. He will head up a team of eight based across London, Zurich and Paris which manages funds worth £2.1bn. The appointment of Perez follows that of Anne Marieke Ezen...
