ABI reviews life and pension fund sectors

The ABI has launched a review into its life and pensions fund sectors which could see the establishment of new property sectors.

Other proposals include introducing labels to highlight the equity exposure of managed fund sectors and launching three new fixed interest sectors. The review will also address the introduction of a flagging system for more detail on sector sub-groupings. The sectors enable advisers and consumers to compare similar funds on a like-for-like basis. More than £500bn of assets are managed in the 6000 unit-linked life and pension funds.
