The Financial Services Skills Council (FSSC) and the Alliance for Finance are to co-host a conference highlighting the role played by trade unions in developing the skills and knowledge of those working in the financial services industry.
The central theme of the Closing the Skills Gap conference on 3 May will be the importance of a collaborative approach between employers, unions and their Union Learning Reps in putting skills at the top of the agenda in workplaces across the UK. Speakers will include representatives from the Trade Unions Congress (TUC), the FSSC, the Association of British Insurers (ABI), Nationwide and Friends Provident.
