Gov't website may help SMEs

The government has launched a new website for all types of small to medium-sized businesses, which could also help intermediaries to cut the time spent on rules and regulations.

Businesslink.gov.uk has been created as an online service aimed at gathering all government information and services relevant to SMEs under one roof. Its intended function is a "single point of access", making it easier for firms to find what they want from government without searching across several websites belonging to different departments, the Department of Trade and Industry - responsible for the measure - says.
