National advisory firm Foster Denovo has appointed Dave Elliott to the role of head of business development for the south.
Elliott will work closely with the recently appointed head of business development for the north, Steve Dale, and the pair are tasked with attracting more advisers to the company.
Elliott has more than 20 years' experience in the sector having worked with
Aegon for 16 years and Legal and General prior to that.
Dale has worked as a senior partner for Foster Denovo in the Newcastle office since the inception of the business.
The firm announced expansion plans late last year with a recruitment drive and five-year plan to grow revenues by 50%.
Foster Denovo head of sales and marketing Darren Laverty said: "Since we launched the recruitment drive last year real progress has been made, and we are now in a number of meaningful discussions with potential advisers.
"However, we felt the time had come to appoint our own new business
specialists directly into the company. These appointments reflect the strategic
importance we place on recruitment, and our plans to take this to the next
